1.Our commitment
ALIST is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining the site, not as a one-time audit.
2.The standard we work toward
We work toward substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice, that means we work on:
- text alternatives for meaningful images, including item photography;
- keyboard access to navigation, filtering, product pages, and checkout;
- visible focus indicators and a logical focus order;
- sufficient color contrast for text and interface controls;
- labels, roles, and error messages that assistive technology can announce;
- layouts that reflow and remain usable when text is enlarged; and
- respecting reduced-motion preferences.
3.Known limitations
Parts of the site may not yet meet every criterion. Content supplied by third parties — including embedded payment, social, and product tools — is not fully under our control, and older editorial content may lack complete alternative text. We prioritize fixes that affect browsing, product detail, and checkout.
4.Getting help and giving feedback
If you have difficulty using any part of our site, or you would like help completing a purchase, contact us and a person will assist you directly. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use, and we will respond within 5 business days.
Feedback about accessibility is treated as a priority issue and is routed to the team that maintains the site.
5.Ongoing work
We review accessibility as part of design and development, test with keyboard and screen reader on core flows, and re-review this statement at least annually. This statement describes our current efforts and is not a representation that every page meets every criterion at all times.
